This 2 day City & Guilds accredited course will provide the skills, knowledge, techniques, confidence and course material to run your  own manual handling training sessions for the safe handling of materials and goods (rather than patients).

This manual handling trainer training course is for those who want to become manual handling trainers as well as those who are already conducting such training but want some fresh ideas &/or refresher certification. All will benefit from a nationally recognised manual handling instructor qualification. The course was developed by Dr Alistair Bromhead and his company is the only manual handling training provider able to offer the qualification either in-house or as an open course. Forthcoming open dates include:

FUNDING AVAILABLE
for certain Yorkshire companies for City & Guilds courses

Certain companies can obtain 60% funding for City & Guilds courses via North East Lincolnshire Council's Community Learning Services in partnership with Hull Training and Kingsway Consulting, who have secured European Social Fund monies, via the Train To Gain Enhancement Fund, to develop current Employees

Companies based in South Yorkshire are eligible with some funding available for the rest of Yorkshire. Eligible sectors are ports, logistics and distribution sector. This could include manufacturers with distribution facilities and others. The funding could be applied to any of the City & Guilds courses run by Alistair

Alistair Bromhead has also developed two other City & Guilds certified courses. Both are 2 day courses which are usually run as in-house events, though there are occasional open events:

  • City & Guilds Certificate in Environmental Management
    NEW OPEN COURSE DATES in Bristol on 1st & 2nd March, 2010

    A course which provides a firm foundation for environmental management knowledge. Topics include  the global issues, carbon debate, legislation, waste management, cleaner design, resource efficiency and environmental management systems.

  • City & Guilds Certificate in Health and Safety Management
    A course for managers and supervisors which provides an overview of legislation, risk assessment and best practice. This is a practical and interactive course which includes hands-on risk assessment practice
