A look back at 16 years in business

This month marks 16 years since Alistair Bromhead Ltd was founded, making it the perfect time to look back on how far we have come. We’re so pleased with the number of courses we have delivered over the years and, most importantly, the organisations we’ve had the privilege of working alongside. 

Where It Started 

Dr Alistair Bromhead’s experience in manual handling stretches back a further 14 years before his business began. In this time, he developed the City & Guilds accredited programme (Manual Handling Train the Trainer) and gained his Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). This grounding shaped the business as Alistair went on to establish an engaging and interactive training style, built on depth of knowledge and understanding of the industry.  

Working Across a Range of Industries 

Over the years, we’ve delivered training across a wide range of sectors, from healthcare, entertainment and education to manufacturing and animal welfare, each with its own specific manual handling and people handling challenges. This has meant constantly adapting our training to fit the realities and challenges of different workplaces- but we never believed in a one-size-fits-all approach anyway.  

Looking Ahead 

As we move into the next chapter, we remain focused on the same thing that’s carried the business this far: delivering interactive and engaging training to build confidence, knowledge and practical skills in manual handling and people handling.
